WX, a visionary painter from Inner Mongolia, brings a unique blend of classical and contemporary influences to his work, creating pieces that captivate and challenge the viewer. A graduate of the China Academy of Art, WX transitioned to full-time painting in 2020, leaving behind a career in industrial design. His art is defined by spontaneity, allowing him to break away from the constraints of daily life and craft a world entirely his own on the canvas.
Before his shift to painting, Wu spent five years in the high-pressure environment of industrial design, a world that clashed with his introspective nature. In 2017, he began experimenting with watercolor, a pivotal moment that ignited his belief in pursuing art as a career. By the end of 2020, amid the uncertainties of the global pandemic, he boldly left his job to devote himself fully to his passion.
Now, WX finds profound satisfaction in his creative freedom, supporting himself through his art while continuing to explore new and thought-provoking visual landscapes.
